The second story is a timber construction, which allowed a simple way of running cables.
There are two sub boards, one on each floor with the main switchboard in the outside plant room. Sub main cables were run through floor ducts.
Each floor has an emergency lighting system and these are linked by a control circuit for testing purposes.

The ground floor was constructed of concrete blocks filled with concrete. This meant that flush boxes and conduit had to be installed in the walls as they were built. Liaising with the builders was therefore very important. There were also four sub boards which all needed sub main cables run through floor ducts, which was tricky.
The ground floor had all cables run in conduit and on cable tray. The cable tray was trapeze type installation. This all made the installation of the cables very time consuming and it had to be very carefully planned.
All ceilings were suspended so all cables had to be run on catenary wires. Running the mains was a big job as it was 8x240mm² cables at 180m each.
